It is strange, for a singer, to be voiceless for 3 days. I kinda feel like my identity has been stolen. I can't sing Brady lullaby's in the shower, I can serenade my 2 cats and dog, and I can't even hum a tune.
What's weird is that I have felt fine for the past 3 days - I just have had no voice.
Then I get an email, from mom, saying if I have any symptoms of the flu I have to get checked out Immediately! I was thinking she was just overacting (like she does sometimes) because I was prego.
Then I looked at the attached email. My baby bro has been out of school the entire week. He had a fever the first 3 days and is currently on the mend. There was an email to all parents that an 8th grade student, in his school, died of the flu. Can you believe that? DIED of the FLU?
There must be some strange strain going around that the flu shot didn't cover.
So I beg of you... all my freaders... please go see the doctor should you have symptoms of the flu. Lord knows I have been close to death and I NEVER want any of you to experience such terror!

Wow. That is crazy! I'm used to hearing tales of menengitis and such, but NEVER death by flu. How traumatic for those kids! They're never going to look at puking the same way again...
p.s. feel better soon!

would the lack of voice be the reason I have not heard back from you?
Oy that's so scary. Hope you're feeling better and get your voice back soon!
I love that picture!
And that's scary about the flu. Yikes!
I hope your voice comes back soon! The flu is awful. I never get sick, like years and years of good health and this last Christmas I got a short little flu but the cough never went away, and then on my birthday last month I got another week long flu and now my cough is still there and worse! The doctor just says to talk cough medicine and allergy medicine and that it will eventually go away.
I'll just learn to not need oxygen until then.
