An FTD warning...

So, as I stated on my previous post, hubs bought me this amazing bouquet of melon colored tulips. SO beautiful. However, according to hubs, the day they got there, they showed up in a box (like from UPS) with NO water and another box for the vase. Strange - he thought.

So, he assembled the beautiful flowers and set them for me to see. The problem was they were crooked. I mean some were pointing towards the sky, but most were pointing towards the walls. Now, this arrangement was a $65 bouquet, not a cheapo one from a grocery store or something.

So anyway, by day 2 they had straightened out a tad bit, but by the morning of day 3 they looked like this.

Yeah... awesome! So, if you are in the market for flower buying, beware of FTD. I don't know if it was a fluke or something, but proceed with caution!

Any crazy stories you have of buying something online?

Jess from http://duwaxloolu.blogspot.com/ has blogged about her drama with flower delivery companies before. I don't trust any of them!

Aww, sorry about you flowers! They were so pretty...I'd call them!!!

One year for Valentine's Day hubby ordered an awesome vase with flowers, a big teddy bear wrapped around the side and a huge bow! So he thought...
I came home from work with what I had received from him that day.
When, I walked in the door he said, "Oh, who gave you that?" I said, "you silly!"
Anyway, that was followed with a WTF since he spent $100 and I was holding a $20 bunch of mixed flowers, when he ordered all roses! We called, they said sorry we ran out, would you like an plant in it's place. Stupid Flower Shop!!!!

i've gotten flowers via box before and usually they hold up pretty well if you add the flower feed to the water right away. and tulips are pretty crazy flowers too that go all over the place, i love it.

hopefully next time your flowers will have better luck though.

They were delivered by UPS? They don't have a local delivery? How wierd is that!

Gross!!! You ought to call and complain! My husband sent tulips for our anniversary a few years ago, and they got delayed in a hurricane--he called and complained (ha) and they ended up sending two more bouquets complimentary!

I'd call and complain.

Every time Brent sends me flowers at work that he ordered online, he always makes me show him a picture of what I received to make sure it looks enough like what he ordered.
