Don't know why I felt the urge to share that with you all, but I did... so get over it :D
I am not quite sure why, after 3 months of nursing, my nipples decided to get a bit crunchy, but wholy moley folks. THAT HURTS! I have a fear that when Mr Man decides to latch on it is going to sound like he is crunchin on some cheetos. Then the 3 little rice crispy men are gonna pop on my bed and start singing, Snap! Crackle! Pop!
Ok not really, but that is my fear.
Not to mention Mr Man has been doing this thing where he naps during the day, like right after I drink some coffee and take my energy vitamin, so that when he sleeps, I am no where close to wanting to take a nap. This week during his naps, I decided to clean out my tupperware drawer, re-organzie my sweater drawers, and build a bookshelf for his room. Productive... yes, and very sleep deprived.
However, my dear freaders, tonight is going to blissful. Full of soft music, aromatic smells and amazing relaxation! Tonight, I booked a 5 pm facial. Screw dinner, it's facial time!! Yesteday I call the woman and ask what time they are open until. She proceeds to tell me 9 pm. Then I ask (stupidly) if they have any openings tonight... at 5pm. She says, "yep, we're wide open." Then I realize, that yes, you would be wide open on a 5pm on a Saturday night... DUH! She then proceeds to feed off of my stupidity and tell me, "not to many people book facials at 5pm on a Saturday night." All right, damn lady, you don't have to rub it in. I have a 3 month old and this is the most amazing Saturday night I have booked in about... well... 3 months :)
So folks, I hope you have a fantabulous weekend. Lord knows I am in for a blissfull evening, where the boobs get a break, I may actually get a nap, and my face will be glowing.
Ciao, Ciao!

That sounds so incredible. Who cares that it is a Saturday night??? It sounds like an amazing rejuvenating experience. Enjoy it!!
Sorry to hear your boobs are hurting. Not to get too in depth, but it could be the start of mastisis (however you spell it) or maybe thrush. Both can cause pain in the mama. Mastisis is pain in usually one area, your boob might be red in one area or all over and feel very warm to the touch...if you let it go you will start to get a fever. No fun. With thrush your nipples are just plain painful...especially when the baby latches on. You also would notice little white patches inside Brady's mouth. I've had both and neither are fun. So sorry to solicite advice when you didn't ask for it. I just know that pain in the boob is no cup of tea! Hope you are feeling better today and it was nothing.
Lucky gal- that sounds lovely! A much needed pamper session :)
I got a gift certificate for a pedicure at my baby shower yesterday:) You can bet I'm cashin in on that pronto!
