Blogging has been such an amazing experience. I love spilling my words out on this digital page for all to read. I have always said I am an open book, and it seems that could not be more true now.

I have "met" so many wonderful people through blogging and it has given me and let me experience things I could not have even imagined!

I thank you to all my readers, who have become my friends. I look forward to what happens in 2009 and whish you all a blessed and fullfilled New Year!

Some fun in the snow!

Well not really, since it doesn't snow down herah, but... this week should be one fun week!

Of course there is the obvious... Christmas... WOOT! And Christmas Eve, which is a big night of presents in hubs family.

But other than that... today we are finishing our shopping, raking leaves and finishing cleaning our house. Plus it is supposed to be 75 degrees outside. Score! Unfortunately, I woke up and lost my voice. Which is utterly bizarre because it was fine last night... just a tickle. Weird?

Then Sunday a frigid cold front is supposed to come, so we should wake up to about 20 degrees and windy. Brrrrr! However, my G-Men play Carolina and they better win! Otherwise, I have no problem flying to NY and spanking each and every one of them with a wooden spoon. Hee hee! Serioulsy though, what the heck happen to them? First they lost to the crap-tastic Eagles (sorry Rachel ;-) then the freakin Cowboys, and I swear if they lose to the Panthers, I am going to cry.

Monday is a day with the ladies. Hubs family (all the women) are having a brunch in the morning and then I get to have my hair done in the afternoon. Aaaahhh, what a relaxing day.

Then finally Tuesday I am headed to the mall with B so he can Santa (again!) And hubs aunts, grandmother, and Mom can get to get some pictures. It should be fun. Lunch with the ladies :)

Today...

My brain is jumbled. I have a splitting headache and I think I am still in detox from my cheese coma.

Here are some things:

• The Giants play the Cowboys this weekend and I am desperately (especially after last Sunday's debacle) hoping for a repeat of their last game.

• I am having lunch with a great friend tomorrow for Christmas. So fun!

• Everyone seemed to love our Christmas cards, which always makes me happy!

• I have to go to the grocery store, horribly bad. I mean, we have no eggs, cream, bread or anything. Not to mention it is like 2o degrees outside (colder than NY I might add) and I hate dragging Mr Man out in this crazy weather.

• This headache will not go away... damn you headache.

It's the happ-happiest time of the year

Today, we are in the Christmas spirit!

We put up our tree, our stockings, framed pictures and hung our christmas lights.

I just LOVE the holiday season.

One exciting day!

Yes... he is wearing a sweater. It's cold over herah!

First, I have to start off with yesterday, when I was cleaning the kitchen, watching the news. I was minding my business, watching B in his walker, when I took a look at this cute news segment that was talking about which celebrity hairstyles would look best with a certain face type. I was vaguely paying attention, when I glanced at the new pixie cut that Rhianna made famous, when (to my surprise), my friend Tanja, showed up on the TV screen. She looked BEAUTIFUL! And I couldn't believe she just showed up. It was so awesome!!

Today was equally splendid because I got to spend quality time with my mom, while B's aunt watching B. My mom and I went to a warehouse sale. I don't know if you have ever heard of this, but my Mother In Law introduced us to these things, and they rock! It is a little difficult to get used to, simply because you really have to speed shop, but you get the most AMAZING prices. Today, I got an ADORABLE dress (that retailed for $350) for $30, a denim jacket (that retailed for $285) for $30, and a cute long sleeve tee (that sells at Sacks for $150) for $24 bucks. You can't beat that with a stick!

Then, later in the evening we gave Mochachino his first taste of pasta (which is hte picture above). I about died of laughter at the way he just gobbled it up and it looked like Lady and the Tramp. Hysterical!

Not to mention, this evening in the bath, Mr Man found the water. Normally, in his baths, he just sits there, chewing on some toy and letting you watch him. But tonight... he splashed in the water, smiled at the camera and thought he was such a big boy!! I got in on our video camera so we could cherish it forever.

We had our garage sale this morning and we totally rocked it!!!





We got out around 8:30 AM and as soon as those signs were out, the people came.





It was a little scary to begin with, because some guy came and offered 10 for a 30 dollar item. I told him 15, so he asks his friend (en espanol) for more money. Comes over, gives me 2 fives and before I know it he has it in his car. Bastard!!





Then, some woman switched the sticker on my clothes and tried to get something for $2 that I had marked $7. Luckily, I caught it and she offered $5, which I took.





I would say, overall it was success! We made some cash AND we get another day tomorrow.

Crap-Tastic!

Last night the Giants lost to the craptastic Browns. I mean, really Eli, how many freakin interceptions can you throw in a game. Just when we look good and go against a 1-3 team (2 and 3 now) do we fall apart. BLUGH!

I have to get more blood drawn for more freaking tests today and I have to get an EKG. Is there anything else my docs would like to throw at me? I may look like a human pin cushion but I have feelings too :( Stop poking at me.. boo!

My grandmother tore some ligiments in her ankle and I am thinking about going up there. She is in an apartment in NY where there are only stairs, so I am worried she is being held hostage in her own apartment. It would be a lot with the baby (and no hubs) but sometimes Moms have to be SuperMoms! I can do it! Plus I would get to see all my family and they would finally get to meet B.

Equals... the PERFECT Sunday!

First, the fam and in laws and ourselves went shopping (yippee!) Like I need more clothes, but I am NOT complaining. Ooohhh, I LOVE clothes. I found some really cute stuff at Express, but I will have to wait until they arrive under the tree. Squee! Oh man! I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner. Ohhhh yeah!

Then, we came home and watched the most brilliant Cowboy football game. Too bad they lost... actually I am ecstatic (on the inside - gotta keep the hubs happy) because I am a Giants fan, but they don't play until tomorrow. When they will be 5-0... OH YEAH!!!!

And finally, hubs cooked this AMAZING dinner of parmesan and rosemary crusted pork loin with asparagus and new potatoes. MMmmmm! Brilliant.

A Crafty Saturday!!

Thanks to my mom, Hubs and I hung our Awesome drapes today!! I seriously love them! Then, I took this white lamp and a $2 can of spraypaint and made an awesome new addition.

I am so impressed with my crafty Saturday afternoon. Screw you fainting spells! I have stuff to do! Woot!!

An Update

Well, there really is no update. I have been to a number of doctors this week and they have no real explanation for my illness. The fainting spells seem to be getting worse so my primary doc moved the in depth test of my nodule up to today.

We won't find out anything until next week at the earliest but at least we are on the right track.

On a happier note, Mr Man is bouncing off the walls lately! He is rolling everywhere, talking all the time, and just being overall rambunctious :) I knew he was going to be a mover and a shaker but I thought I would have a little more time to breathe :D

Also, next week, my girlfriends and the kiddos are all headed to a pumpkin patch!!! I am so excited to take Mr Man and get some adorable pictures! I love fall! I just wish the weather was a little cooler so I could put him in his cute sweaters. Oh well, all in due time!

Feet meet mouth :)

1. I don't have to work anymore because the babysitter didn't work out. I can't say I am dissapointed in the least about this, but it was nice being in a routine and getting to actually eat a lunch at a normal pace. But hey, spending time with B is where I belong and I will never forget it!!

2. Tonight we are spending with old friends, and I am really looking forward to it. It is going to be so much fun! Who knows... maybe the band will re-convene for one night only :D

3. B is an absolute joy! He talks to me every day, he is excited with the site of his bottle, and he is a rolling, feet grabbing machine!! I took the pictures this morning when he woke up.

4. Also B is sleeping almost through the night. He only wakes up once and really just wants his pacifier. Then he wakes at around 5 AM and we eat our bottle.

5. Not to mention, Mr Man is such a big boy that he has graduated to rice cereal for lunch. The doctor said it would happen sooner than normal for my little boy, but I didn't know it would be this fast!!

A re-cap of sorts

Well, this week has been fun, sad, and just a lot. Like I said before, it was emotionally exhausting dropping my baby off with someone, but after this week, my heart feels a little better. It seems B and I have gotten into a routine and the mornings we get to spend together really help.

Yesterday; however, was awesome! I came home to gorgeous flowers, ribs in the oven, Giants on the TV and my smiling baby! A PERFECT evening to a crazy week!

Tonight, hubs and I plan to spend some quality time together! We are going out for a romantic evening and maybe a movie.

Just wanted t0 say thanks for all the well wishes, and thanks to hubs for a brilliant dinner!

A re-cap of sorts

Well folks, as of now, I still haven't gotten rid of my precious kitty, Fatty McFatterson. However, I know the day needs to come, my heart is just breaking a little. Apparently, according to my friend (who has a 4 month old) it is not possible for babies to be allergic to cats at this age, but who knows. Mr Man is still sneezing quite a bit.

It has been like 900 degrees over here in Tejas, and boy howdy (that was my nod to Texas) does it suck. Actually today there is a Mosquito scare (no idea what that is?) but the news just told me to stay indoors. Um.. ok?

Not to mention there have been these disease ridden "spray parks" all over the news. I guess there like pools that just spray water... not really sure. And apparently they have given both adults and children this sickness that makes you leak from all orphisis. Cuuuuute! So glad Mr Man is not old enough to go to these places.

Hmm... what else? I don't know. I haven't been feeling really well lately. Kind of in a funk. Not sure why. Actually I do know why, and it makes me sad. Hubs has recently informed me my days as a stay at home are numbered. I am going to try and get a part time job, but daycare is not really an option. I am totally against it for my little guy, and I am just trying to figure out what I can do, instead of getting a night/weekend job. Right now, it doesn't look too promising. It looks as if dishes will be served and uniforms will be worn. Boo!

I wish everyone was rich and if you wanted to stay home with your little ones, you should be allowed. Blugh!

Anyway, sorry to put a downer on the day. Hope your weeks go much better! :D

Some Random Thoughts...

Already a ladies man!

A: I am not having a stomach transplant. Apparently my humor did not come across in words. I was attempting to make a joke and ask if they did that, b/c truthfully I think it would solve all my problems. My bad :D





B: I seriously just saw an ad that said, Food costs are soaring, eat less and save money, get lap band procedure. Um... I understand obesity is an epidemic, but REALLY... is that really a good reason you would go under the knife and have your stomach sliced to the size of a grape. Um... I think not! K thx!





C: What is up with So You Think You Can Dance?? Why do they keep kicking off the entire couple? Stupid. We want to see some new couples. However, I am glad, Miss I am a teacher but I have pink hair and I wear slutty clothing however I am really smart and I want to teach your students, got kicked off. Geesh!





D: Still stressed about the trip. I can't sleep at night b/c I keep going over how much crap I have to take to the beach. Now, I found out, my dad probably won't be able to go, which totally devistates me. Of all the people that need a damn vacation it is my father! I mean, first NY, now this! UGH I am so pissed at his company.





E: I am totally excited to leave for 2 weeks and head to the beach, and see all the fam. Not to mention we got our GORGEOUS pictures of Mr Man and I can't wait to frame them all and hang them around my house. I swear, by the time he is 1, we might have a shrine :D He is just so damn cute!

And Finally... Mr Man has started "talking" to us! It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I ask him where he wants to go, and he'll sit there and stare at me and Goo and Oooh and tell me all these things. I have tried getting it on camera, just so you all can see, but I have been unable as of yet. However, it will come my dear freaders, it will come!

Hectic with a 4 hour break...

So this week has been cr-aaazy!



Tuesday was my sister-in-law's birthday, not to mention 6 years with my hubby. Hubs was not around, so I headed to the town center for some fab food and shopping with the in-laws!



Then Wednesday we got some profesional photo's of Mr Man, and can I just say, he is freaking adorable (if I do say so myself!) This place, Portrait Innovations, did a great job getting him to smile! PLUS... they print your pics in 20 minutes and they have amazing prices! I am so glad my mother-in-law decided to take a trip out there! It was WELL worth it!



Thursday I met with my sister-in-law and her cousin to see SEX AND THE CITY BABY! It really was awesome! When the other bloggers mentioned you would cry and laugh hysterically, I couldn't see how you could have that range of emotion but... it was true. All of it! I actually stole a tissue from my SOL during one part! Here is the thing though, if you have seen the movie, tell me what is up with this. I understand Labels are a huge part of SATC, however, did they have to make it SO blatent? I mean... can we say product placement?!? Was it meant to be blatent because of what is said at the end... or was it just a huge promotion for every fashion label?? Not to mention, it was first time away from B for an extended period, and I think I did OK? I was really nervous and kept checking my phone, but I did try and relax by having a beer. I know it will get better, but this time was hard for this new mom!



And lastly today, my BF's and their babies came over for a little running around, some pool time and some damn good spinach dip! (Great recipe for the pool!) We had a blast, although I am exhausted!

As for Mr Man, he is becoming more and more aware of faces and things around him. I swear he swats at stuff in front of him, and he just LOVES music. He especially likes when Momma sings while changing his diaper. He is such a happy baby and it is a joy each day I get to spend with him.

What a week!

This whole week has just been so weird. Well, I shouldn't say weird, I should say... it has just made me think. It has made me thankful for all that I have and really be aware of all that is going on.

As you all know Mr. Man was Christened on Saturday, then Sunday we had a party to celebrate the family! So, as I was driving home Sunday night, and I began to think of all the things that are going on in my life.

You know, getting to be a stay at home mom, having my baby turn 1 month old, having him Christened and now, tomorrow, turning 27. Not to mention, seeing all my family, I realize just how precious time is. I mean, my grandmother is getting so much older, it just breaks my heart that she lives so far away. Not to mention, my "baby" cousin being so much taller and more handsome. I mean he has been out of college for 3 years. EEK! We used to share bath time, now we share a beer. It is so bizarre how the world evolves.

You know, I look at my dad, who has always been my rock, and the one man I loved. And now, there are so many men in my life, My husband and my SON. It is like a ball that never stops rolling. No matter what happens, no matter what you do in life, that ball just keeps rolling and you better roll with it or get out of its way!

Don't you ever just wonder where the time goes? Why you weren't nicer to people, or more thankful for everything that you have? I wish I could say I wake up and say Thank You to the Lord above for all that he has blessed us with, but most mornings (these days) I am sleep deprived and all I care about is who is hungry, who needs a diaper changed, and do I have time to pee. I need to be more thankful! I think we ALL need to be more thankful. At least be thankful for the time you have with whomever you love, because who knows, it could just be the last.

So seriously, last night I was right in the middle of writing a blog (for the boob blog), when I fell asleep. I mean, how tired do you have to be to put the computer down and crash :)

I guess yesterday was just a busy day. We said goodbye to my Nona (B's great Nona) in the morning, then we went shopping, and by mid afternoon, we had to say goodbye to my Aunt and my baby's cousin (B's godfather).

It was kind of an emotional day, but I wouldn't have changed it for anything. I really wish my cousin and aunt lived closer. It was just so special getting to spend time with them. Not to mention hubs and my cuz were like 2 peas in a pod. Just seeing them together makes my heart smile.

Chocolate, some wine and a 20 min nap!

Last week was a little hectic. Hubs was out of town for most of it so it went a little something like this.

Wed: Mom came over, around noon, went shopping and got some clothes that fit (thanks mom!) then came home, had some chinese take out and tried to get some sleep. Brady slept pretty well that night, but finally (really) fell asleep at 6:45am, only for my mom to leave the house and (accidentally) wake me up at 7am, to tell me she was leaving :)

Thurs: Had the AC guy come and finally fix our upststairs AC, then had lunch with my BF Missy (for about 20 min - don't you wish lunches could be longer with an 8 month old and a 2 week old) then headed to the doc for Mr Man's 2 week checkup. He got his foot pricked and it was painful watching him cry. Only to head home, feed the man, and pass out for a good hour and a half

Fri: Woke up, chatted with mom over coffee, got dressed, headed to the church (to make sure all paperwork was in order for his Christening) and came home, only to feed him, pass out again for another hour, and wait for the in-laws to bring me dinner. The in-laws came, we took some pictures (for the birth announcement) and they left at 8pm. Finally, we got some real shut eye. I think I managed about 4 hours (in between feedings and checking of the breath wakings).

Sat: Hubs FINALLY came home! He arrived at about 2pm, only to take a quick nap, feed again and jump in the shower for a birthday dinner. At this point (around 7pm) I was in dyer need of a glass of vino. We had a lovely dinner with the fam and it was back to the house for some more sleep. (Are you noticing a trend? Feed... sleep... change... feed... sleep and repeat)

Sun: Woke up to coffee brewing, my man a little fussy, but sleeping, and got to eat a hot breakfast, drink warm coffee and shopping. We finally bought our patio furniture cushions, only to realize (when getting home of course) that they didn't fit. Ain't that a bitch! Last night, however, hubs let me have a glass of wine, snack on some chocolate, and have a 14 min HOT shower. Really, that was the highlight of my week.

And finally... today: The maids came at 10:30am (again, thank you MOM - you rock!) so I had to wake up early and clean up (funny how that is). Mr Man and I got a little sleep. From 10-12 was pretty good, but from then on, it is a blur. Right now, for some reason, I can't sleep, even though my man is sound asleep next to me. The maids are still cleaning and I am starving but in the mood for nothing. What a great day so far :D

Hopefully tomorrow will be better... it is hubs 3o (SOMETHING) birthday. I promise I won't tell you the age, because he will probably read this and pass out. HEe hee! I wonder what we can do for him?

5 hours and a laugh!

OMG, I feel like so much has happened these past 2 days! Brady and myself have been attempting to get into SOME sort of routine, but it seems to no avail (yet!) He likes the boob juice about an hour at a time (sometimes he lets me sleep for 2 or 3 hours) but unfortunately that is kinda rare.

Plus it is kinda awkward when people want to stop by and you keep having to go into the bedroom with a boob out ;-) Hopefully, we will get the hang of this and I can tell people when to come so they don't have to wait?

Yesterday, was a rough day, overall. Brady was his usual, gorgeous self, in the morning and then I had a doc's apt, so we had work the day around that. Plus it was 20 min away, so I had to make sure the diaper bag was stocked! After we fed him, changed him, and loaded him up, we were off. He was SO good in the car. He must be like his daddy in that regard, because he just snuggles up and sleeps.

Then, I had to run to Target (and get more nursing bras) and Daddy left us in the car so I could nurse. That, my friend, was an experience. With Hooter Hider out, we set off to nurse. He nursed for a little, puked all over me, then himself, then we had to go the doc. We tried to clean up, but by the time we got to the doc, we had a dirty diaper. We changed him, headed back home and all was good, for about an hour.

We had guests come over, and althought I am glad Hubs cousin got to see the baby, it is kind of embarrasing (to me) to have people over, in a filthy house, with me having to excuse myself to whip out a boob. (I know, I am overreacting, they are family, but that is how I feel!)

Anyway, while sitting there, Mr Brady must have farted or something because he started to smile, and then (for all guests to see) he laughed!!! It was so funny. I think he actually coughed and farted at the same time, but it sounded like a chuckle. I laughed so hard, I started crying. It was truly magical.

Then, last night, Brady was pretty fussy until about 2am, so I propped him on the Boppy and we fell asleep for 30 minutes. Then I laid him in his Moses Basket *tangent begins - can I just say... I fought off getting a moses basket forever. I wanted no part. They are SO expensive and I thought why on earth would you spend all that money for 6 weeks use? But it is SO worth the money! He absolutely loves it! I guess he feels warm and secure like the womb and he sleeps so soundly! Thanks Grammie!!!* and he slept... and I talkin' slept!! for 3 hours! It was truly blissful. I got up, fed him again, and then he went BACK to sleep! I think I got a total of 5 hours. I feel like a new woman! SO rested!

Aaahhh! I feel like such an accomplished mom! 5 hours :D

Well, this is where you could find me all day yesterday! Lounging in the backyard while Hubs did some lawn work. Mochachino and I got some sun, read a book and realxed to Jazz on the outdoor speakers.

As for the baby... nothing really new. I had about 2 -3 contractions per hour, but nothing I could count. I have a doc's apt at 2 today, so when I know more, we will keep you updated!
