Things I am NOT going to miss by being pregnant!

1. Elastic waisted pants!
2. People staring at your face, then your belly, then your face again
3. Random people asking questions
4. Random touches of the stomach from said random people
5. Not seeing your feet while standing, or your legs, for that matter
6. Realizing you have more depth to your body and squeezing through areas doesn't work anymore!
7. Shaving your legs. (Need I say more?)
8. Not being able to sleep on your back... or your stomach... or you side or anywhere else, because you have a huge basketball in your belly.
9. Back Pain.
10. Sensitive Boobs!

However, as I look at this list, I realize, I had it pretty easy! This pregnancy was a blessing in disguise. I never thought I would get pregnant so soon after my surgery, and I never thought (with all the shit my body went through) that this pregnancy would be easy. Sure there were ups and downs, but in retrospect, I wouldn't change them for anything.

The sensitive smell, the ever growing waist line, and the uncomfortable sleeping arrangements are all part of the game... and then in the end... you inevitably win. You win the greatest gift God could bestow. A child. In our case, a beautiful baby boy.

Hubs and I are so thankful for all the prayers and love that has been sent throughout this 9 month journey. We can only imagine what the next 18 years will bring. I feel like we are embarking on an entire new chapter, in this life novel that we write.

We will try and post pics as soon as we can. I know my BF E will be there taking pictures and I am SURE she will post some of the events. And I appologize, in advance, for the state I may be in. Crumpled hair, glasses and who knows what else :D

Have a great Tuesday!

The 17th it is!!!

So... I just got back from the doctor and it is set. We are due to have Brady on the 17th of April, which happens to be 1 day after his Godfather's birthday. We are SO excited! I cannot even tell you HOW excited I am.

This morning hubs looks at me and says... "2 more days and then we can have the whole weekend with him!" and I look at him and say... "honey, we are gonna have him a lot longer than a weekend!" Hee hee! Men... they have no idea. :D

The Event: It looks as though I will go in on the evening of the 16th and be given some medicine to induce. Then... anywhere from 12-24 hours later, our little man will be rocking in our arms!

Wow!!! Can you believe it has taken 9 months to create this little guy and now in only 2 days he will be in our arms?? Geesh! I thought the last few nights have been sleepless. I can't imagine every going to sleep for the next 2 days.

No Baby Yet...

This pic is after dinner of last week. I only ate about half my meal because I don't have any more room!

So... it looks as though, Mr. Brady will be here NO LATER than the 17th of April.

We have a doc's apt at 10:30 am tomorrow and we will know more then :)

But... where it stands now, is we will go into the hospital on April 16th at around 10pm and be given an inducement pill. Once that takes place it is 12-24 hours before our little man will arrive.
EEEK! Only 4 days and I will meet my man!

P.S. I started a new blog (yes - another one!) it is a nursing guide for a new mom. I want to chronicle the ups and downs of nursing a newborn. If your a new mom or just want to gain knowledge on the benefits of nusing... check it ou.

A Boob Blog!

Come on Baby!

Pleeeeeze get here! I cannot wait to hold you in my arms, and see what amazing things we can accomplish together!

In case you didn't know... no baby yet! Booo!

I am dyin' over herah!

Besides the fact that I am GINORMOUS! I just want to meet him and have the attention move from my belly to my little guy!

The news... Hubs and I have decided that (because my doc is going out of town) if Brady does not come naturally, we are going to be induced on the 16th and I should deliver by the 17th.

This is, obviously, not the ideal situation, but I can't risk being in a hospital with a doctor that DOESN'T know my entire situation.

I did get a chance to talk to my AWESOME cousin yesterday (she is a Doula AND a plethera of knowledge - when it comes to pregnancy) and she said I could try some natural remedies (i.e. sex, pressure points and castor oil) but if I did do the castor oil, I would need to wait until 38 weeks (tomorrow) because every day in the womb is better for my guy.

We will see... my dad, hubs and mom are not too thrilled about the castor oil (because it is REALLY supposed to work) and they think I should speak with my doc before attempting this.

I don't know? We will keep you posted!

Tonight I am headed to a blues concert in the park, so maybe the simple fact of lots of bass guitar and groovy music will make this man come on out and play!

Contemplation...

After yesterday, I just feel like I have so much on my mind. I thought so hard, last night, I gave myself a headache :)

I feel like a hypocrite, an impatient loser and everything else you could throw at me. You see... after my baby bro was born (who, by the way, was induced) I told myself, induction was NOT an option. And here I was... preaching it to all my friends. Now, here I sit, 37 wks pregnant, actually thinking about this idea.

I know that once you are in the situation it is much different, I just feel like I shouldn't have this option. I really don't want to induce. I don't even (think) I want an epidural. (However, I did ask the RN and you can be 8 centimeters before I decide to get one). I wanted Brady to come when HE was ready. I, however, have a huge fear of hospitals. I rarely trust them, and the moment I start walking in the doors, I start praying a Rosesary. After what happened last time, I am taking no chances.

It is just that I feel I have prepped for every possible scenario, except of course, my doctor going on vacation. Not like I can blame him. Shit, he has come to see me in my false labor 5 previous times. I am just so worried something will go wrong again and I will end up in the hospital with no explination AND a newborn to take care of.

I do want to say, however, thank you, thank you, thank you!! to all of my freaders who send such kind words. It is those "faceless" words in comments that always seem to put a smile on my face!

I only pray that Brady decides to grace us with his prescence before the 14th (my next doc's apt.) That way, all things will be solved and I won't have to "play God." I ask all of you to say a tiny prayer that Mr. Brady comes on his own, when HE is ready.

Thanks again! Hope you guys have a good Tuesday!

I want to curl up...

In a ball and stay there for 3 weeks! So... just got back from the doc, and the news, in my opinion could not have been more dissapointing.

1. I am still at 1 centimeter and I am still in posterior position (have not started to thin or the cervix has not moved forward), pretty much no labor in my near future.

2. My doctor is going out of town for my due date, which REALLY erks me because the whole reason I kept this doctor after the lap fiasco, was so that no one would "push" me into a C-section and would know my entire situation during labor.

3. and 3... my favorite (says in the MOST sarcastic voice) my due date has been pushed back to April 27th. You see, on my first sono they told me it was 4-27, then when I went back in a second time (previous to being diagnosed with GD) they told me, since Brady was so large, the due date must be moved to the 23rd. So... hubs and I have been calculating from the 23rd (38 weeks.) But no my friends, I am only 37 weeks and 1 day. Greeeaaat!

Not to mention, right before we left, I was expressing to hubs how uncomfortable I am and how I would like to discuss options. *And yes, please I know, EVERYONE has an opinion about this, Pitocin or not... I would like to just know the options* And he says to me, you know, we will just have to see what he says, because we really need to be thinking about when Brady wants to come. To which I reply: duh... but I would like to think about me for a second. I mean, I have this scar that burns every second my bellly grows, I haven't slept in weeks., and I am utterly exhausted just having to carry this child. To which HE replies: Trust me... you think about yourself enough for the rest of us. And to be honest.... that was it!

After that comment, I just feel... defeated! I am huge, I cannot sleep or get comfortable. Everyday I wake up and immediately want to take a nap and now... it is 80 degrees and the only pants that fit are jeans and cordoroys (sp??) because I don't want to buy more maternity clothes this close to the date. UGH! Defeated is the only word to describe my feelings.

1 Centimeter, People!!

Yesterday, was a pretty frusterating day, to be honest. I woke up at around 3 am, with really painful contractions. I really didn't think anything of it, I just went back to sleep (the best I could). Then I headed to the doc with hubs, and while sitting there, the contractions were non stop. They were in my back, my belly and all the way up to my breast bone, and they were painful. That lasted for about 2 hours, and then they calmed down.

We went home, had some lunch and I just relaxed on the couch. For the next 2 hours, however, they continued and were stronger and stronger each time. My water hadn't broken and no other signs of labor were apparent so I was leary, but called my doc anyway. I told him the situation and that I thought they were about 5-8 min apart, painfull and that it had been happening for a good 2hrs.

He sent me directly to the hospital. On the way there, they shut down the highway (which is awesome when you think you're in labor!) so we waited in traffic and finally got the hospital an hour later.

Once their the routine was commenced and they checked me. ONE CENTIMETER (which in the birthing world is nothing, but it does mean my body is preparing and I am really having contractions). They watched me for an hour, check again and.... nothing. The contractions were happening, however, they were too irregular and I had not dialted any further.

I was sent home and told to relax.

Ok, here is the thing, I know I am axious, but I am NO freaking hypocondriac. I really am trying to count. The damn things were happening for hours. So... my new solution is if my water breaks or if I see blood, or if my little man doesn't move (as normal) then I will head to the doctor. Otherwise, I am going to sit my happy ass home until I am crying on the couch and can't stand the pain! I don't care if hubs has to pull over the car and deliver this baby by himself!

It is just getting so frusterating!

Anxiously Waiting!!!

Eeek! I am so anxious for my little man to come! I want to meet him so badly! I can't wait to see what he looks like and what his personality is like and so much more! I have moved all my bags and Boppy and body pillow into the "children and creativity corner" of my house (as per Feng Shui) so that maybe I can focus the ch'i and have him come... NOW! :D

On the health front:
Saw the doc yesterday and he said nothing has really changed. My belly is measuring 37 inches (which is supposed to coralate with what week you are) and I haven't gained any more weight. Still holding a strong 137lbs. He will start with the pelvic exams (to see if I am dialted or if my cervix has dropped) next week. We will be sure and keep you posted!

As for me, well I feel a little weird this morning. My belly kind of hurts all over, and I have a pretty bad back ache? Not really sure what that is about? I think hubs said his stomach hurt too, but he thinks it is sympathy contractions! :) We are going on 3 days with no medicine so it COULD be contractions (oh Please GOD, Please, Please, Please!!!!)

So my dear freaders, I ask you today, to say one tiny prayer that Mr Brady will come as soon as possible! Preferrably... today. :D Did I mention patience is not a virtue I own??!

Have a wonderful Tuesday! Ciao, Ciao!

I'm Officially Crazy!

Yesterday was the weirdest day. The whole week it was 70-80 degrees, sunny and beautiful. However, yesterday, was gloomy and cold, like 50? Then at about 2pm the contractions started. It was pretty painful, but I just kinda worked through it (thinking the entire time that I am on that pre-term labor labor drug and there is no way these things are going to continue). Well, the first hour I had 13 (more than 8-10 you're supposed to call your doc), the next hour I had another 13 and that is when I turned to hubs and made him grab my shoes and head to the hospital. The doctor was called and the hospital knew we were on our way.

The strange thing was, I wasn't really sure what they were going to do... I mean, I didn't know if they were going to stop labor (because I was due to take that ProCardia until Sat) or if they were going to let me go. I also know, they normally think contractions (or pre-term labor) are caused by dehydration, so, on the way there I guzzled 8oz of water.

After getting to the hospital, peeing, putting on a gown and climbing in bed, I was hooked up to the contraction machine (This tells when, how long and how strong each contraction is). However, when I looked at the monitor it said I wasn't HAVING contractions? I just had some irratability. WHAT???? I swear, my back was hurting and I was having contractions, just like last time. The nurses came in, checked me, and no dialation had begun, so they thought I may have a kidney infection. They checked my pee, and came back with all negative results. How can that be?? No kidney infection AND no contractions? I know I am not making this up, I mean, this shit was painful. At this point, the contractions had slowed, but I was still feeling them?

At this point, I was frusterated, confused and tired. I didn't know what to do? Obviously I have never had contractions before, but I have HAD pre-term labor so I THOUGHT I knew what I was doing?? Apparently.... not!

So... I went home, had some pizza, watched some Tivo and crashed. The pressure in my pelvis is still there and I guess I am having no contractions? Who knows?

My question to all your freaders, is how and when do you know if you are having a contraction? When I think they're 10 min apart, they are really 2 min apart, and when I think they are 2 min apart... apparently I am not having any? Any advice??

Almost...

Went to the doc yesterday, and got some very interesting news!
*Back story - I am on this drug called ProCardia to stop pre-term labor and to diminish the contractions I am having every hour.
So... yesterday I went to the doc's office and he checked me out, AND... my belly is 35 inches (bigger than hubs waist...eek!) and Mr. Brady is trending to be about 6 to 61/2 lbs. With that, my doc told me to go off the ProCardia by Sunday of THIS week.
And that means... we could have a baby by Thursday of next week! (He says it takes about 4 days for the meds to get out of you.) He doesn't think I will go further than 38 weeks. Hubs and I are VERY excited with this news!
---------------------
On a different note, I have been successfully kidnapped by my parents to spend the week with them. It is going pretty well :) Mom cooked me shrimp scampi last night and we all watched dancing with the stars (um... kinda cheesy!) but overall it is fun spending time with the rents!
Hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday! And we will keep you updated if I go into labor :D

Bed Rest...zzzzzzzz....

Well folks, my doc says I need to be on bed rest for 2 days, and since today is my 2nd (and hopefully final) day of being in the bed, I would like to share with you how utterly boring this is.

I have watched an entire trial on court tv. I have emailed and blogged everything that will come out of my brain, and I have slept more than one person should be allowed to do so!

I am currently having 4-6 strong and painful contractions an hour (even with being on this daily pill that is supposed to stop them) but I don't have to go to the hospital unless they exceed 8-10 an hour, for 2 consecutive hours. Plus, while at the hospital on Tuesday, they did a test that says I will not deliver Mr Brady for 2 weeks. So... I guess I am just stuck on this couch, watching court tv and wishing I could be jogging, or shopping or something, other than sitting :)

If you have any fantastic jokes or anything that will keep me occupied, feel free to leave a comment.

Hope you all have a fantastic Good Friday!! and a wonderful Easter!

Your very bored, freader and blogger!

Wordless Wednesday and 35 Weeks!

""Today I will teach a new meditation, make you even better person. Is called Four Brothers Meditation."

Ketut went on to explain that the Balinese believe we are each accompanied at birth by four invisible brothers, who come into this world with us and protect us throughout our lives. When the child is in the womb, her four siblings are even there with her - they are represented by the placenta, the amniotic fluid, the umbilical cord and the yellow waxy substance that protects an unborn baby's skin. When the baby is born, the parents collect as much of these extraneous birthing materials as possible, placing them in a coconut shell and burying it by the front door of the family's home. According to the Balinese, this buried coconut is the holy resting place of the four unborn brothers, and that spot is tended to forever, like a shrine.

The child is taught from the earliest consciousness that she has these four brothers with her in the world wherever she goes, and that they will always look after her. The brothers inhabit the four virtues a person needs in order to be safe and happy in life: intelligence, friendship, strength, and (I love this one) poetry. The brothers can be called upon in any critical situation for rescue and assistance. When you die, your four spirit brothers collect your soul and bring you to heaven."

~Eat, Pray, Love - Elizabeth Gilbert

I thought this was such a unique idea! To always have four brothers there when you need them! I hope Brady realizes he has a protector even in that small womb of his!

-----------------------------
Just in case your keeping up: 35 weeks pregnant today!
Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
On the health front, the past 2 days have been quite hectic! Monday I was rushed to the hospital with pre-term labor. I thought the contractions were 10 min apart (however, I couldn't really tell. After my crazy surgery in June I think I have a high tolerance for pain) but when I got to the hospital they were a steady 2 min apart, and they were pretty large. They don't want me to go into labor this early, so they gave me this shot that makes you feel like ass (shaky and weird all over) to stop contractions. It worked. The moment it went into my system they stopped and the hospital continued to monitor me for 2 hours. Finally I was discharged, came home and went to bed. Yesterday morning, however, at around 3 am, they were back with evengance. They woke me up from a dead sleep. I tried to drink water and relax and finally after about 50 min, they stopped.
I went back to sleep, only to wake, try and get some work done, when at 10am they had come back again! This time they were more consistent and they were making me worry. I headed back the hospital so they could monitor me more, and when I got there they had slowed to a 3 an hour. They prescribed me a pill that I take daily to stop pre-term labor for the next 2 weeks (my man needs to cook a little longer!) and so far it has worked. When I do get a contraction it is is really painful and lasts for about a minute an a half, but they are sporadic, so I think we're in the clear. This morning, at 3am, I woke up with about 4 contractions (very painful) and had to take a shower in the middle of the night. That was weird! But they have since stopped. Maybe Brady is preparing me for a mid night delivery? We'll see....
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Crack is Whack!!

And so is telling an 8 month pregnant woman she has to be on a low carb, sweet free diet! If you can't be happy about eating ice cream when your pregnant, then when CAN you be?

If you have no idea what I am talking about, I am getting increasingly ticked off with this GD BS!

I am just being a little whiney today :( It is St Patty's day though... which makes me think of drinking and .... well drinking. Can't do that today, but next year I can (at least) make Brady where some cute green and white outfit!

Have a Happy St Patty's Day!

Baby Showers and Such!!!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! My 2 favorite people, Missy and Michelle, threw me the most amazing baby shower! It was filled wtih delectable food, fun games, and great company!! Those 2 girls really did an amazing job with EVERYTHING! It was truly a special day! Not to mention, it was about 65 degrees, so everything was just perfect!

-------------------------------

On another note my Houdini cat has done it again! After the last fiasco, hubs and I decided to put bird netting all over the yard, so he couldn't jump out. This worked for quite sometime, until yesterday, when we went outside and realized he must have tried to jump through, failed, and knocked some of it loose, only to try again and succeed. Now, keep in mind the cat is de-clawed, and he has a belled collar, but he has brought me multiple bird or grasshopper presents, so I don't think it has slowed him down. Normally, we walk outside and he is meowing in the neighbors yard, for us to rescue him.

However, yesterday, he was no where to be found, and last night a kind neighbor dropped by his leash. Apparently, their dog sniffed it out and they wanted to return it.

We have not heard or seen from out little guy since Sat night, and I am getting increasingly worried. I understand cats get lost and if he is gone for good I will have to get over him but I am just a little heartbroken. If you would keep Sammy in your prayers for a safe return, I would appreciate it!!

-----------------------

And finally, I need some advice...

When I got married, back in 2004, I had an entirely different set of friends. I didn't have too many close girlfriends... actually, I only had one. So at my wedding my maid of honor was that friend, and my sister in law was the other bridesmaid.

Anyway, over the years, me and my MOH (maid of honor) have drifted apart, but always tried to remain as close as we can be. You see, she keeps a different schedule. She is a waitress at a very busy wine bar, downtown, and I live in the burbs, with a husband and I have a corporate job. Not to mention I am very pregnant.

So, when I was making the baby shower list, she was, naturally, the first person I invited. I was excited to finally see her and spend some time with her. However, about a week before the event, my friend said there was no RSVP from her. I got worried. I know she would have to request it off, so I texted her to make sure she was coming. She said she never got the invitation, which made me feel horrible, and I told her the details and she said "Of COURSE, I will be there, its your baby shower for gosh sake!" I was so happy that was all clear, I told my friend and waited for the day.

Well, yesterday, while at the shower, I get a text saying her phone did not spring forward automatically, which to be honest, I had a hard time believing, but went on with the day as if it was no big deal. You see, she is always late, or has car trouble or something happens. She is just kind of one of those friends that it comes with the territory, not the most reliable if you know what I mean. There have been numerous occasions where I will be sitting at the restaurant and she will text me saying she just left, sorry. And, after years of knowing her, I have tried to put it behind me to the best of my ability. Now don't get me wrong, I used to bitch and bitch about it, until I realized it solved nothing. So... as time went on, as I got older, I just let it go. And yesterday, I did the same. She was going to be late, no worries, I just let it go.

So, the party goes on, the games are played, the cake is eaten and the presents are opened. No sign on her. I looked around and I got a melancholy feeling. I mean, she was my MOH, I thought she would at least be here for this. As I am getting in the car, I see I have another text: It said got into a car wreck, headed to xyz hospital, sorry, call you later. So now, I start to worry... is that REALLY what happened, OMG I feel horrible. So I call. No answer, which is as to be expected if your in the hospital. SO I get home, call the xyz hospital and ask for the ER. They tell me no one has been there with that name and no one is here now with that name. Truthfully, my heart sinks. I don't know what to believe. Did she just not come? (I mean it wouldn't be the first time she flaked out on a party or something important) or did she really get hurt? So... I call her phone again. No answer.

Then, about 20 min later I get another TEXT saying I should wear my seatbelt and something to that effect and call you tomorrow. I have a bruised rib but really it was more mental than physical. Which, at this point, I don't know how to respond? Why was she still texting me? I mean if your in the hosptial, I would at least like a call. So I text her back, get well and call me tomorrow.

There are 2 problems I have with this:

A. Everytime there is an event or a party or something we have planned, she has car trouble. A flat tire, its in the shop, or whatever. (Plus, she doesn't have a junk car, she has a nice, new car!)

B. If she really made it up that she was going to the hospital, and made me worry even worse than before, that would be horrible. Plus, why would you only text? I called twice... don't I at least deserve to know if you are ok? To me, my gut told me it was a person TEXTING in sick to work. I just didn't have a good feeling about it.

So... I don't know what to do if she calls. Should I tell her my concern about her not showing up? Should I ask her what happened? What should I do? I feel like this was a really big event to miss, and I understand if your going to be late, but this kind of feels like the last straw... you know? What would you do if it was your friend?

Fun Things...

That happen when your 8 months pregnant.

1. Your extremely tired. For example: I went to bed at 6pm last night, only to wake up 10 min. ago.

2. My feet and hands have started to swell slightly. Just enough so that it hurts for my rings to be on my hands and my favorite heels on my feet. Which is really awesome because it is SO much fun walking around the grocery store with no wedding ring and people giving you evil looks like you just got knocked up :D

3. Braxton Hicks happen all the time and the only relief are baths! I feel bad for villages in Africa with no running water, because with as many baths and showers I take, I could water a whole damn country.

and finally the most awesome thing that happens when you are 8 months pregnant

4. People you have never met want to reach out and touch the belly, only for you to feel awkward and let me them! For the sake of a pregnant person... ask before touching belly's... please!

31 Weeks!

This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

I can't believe that in 6 weeks, my little man is going to enter this world. Every night this week I have asked hubs to put together one thing, such as a swing, a highchair, a pack and play and so on. I think if we do it this way, it won't be so overwhelming. One a night you know?

But with the toys comes the confusion. You can tell that the animals know something is up, the just can't figure out what is going on. Mr Mochachino gets very scared. He starts looking around, like Lady and Tramp, shaking like a leaf and trying to get his toy so that someone will pay attention to him. It is quite humorous.
The Cats found the pack and play and that was funny in itself. One cat didn't know what hell it was, jumped in, only to find he couldn't get out, so he started squeaking. I let him out and he just stared at it like it was the devil.

I think they'll be fine when my man comes, but we will have to see! Only a couple more weeks now :D

TMI I am sure!

Ok seriously, at this point, I have no idea what is going on with my body! 4 days ago my voice up and left, and then it came back, only to return with it some disgusting coughing, phleming, thing in both my nose and throat. WAY TMI... I get it! Not to mention every morning this week I have woken up at 5am, to do some major cleaning and re-arrange rooms, awaiting Brady's arrival.
Is this nesting or what? I have no idea what is going on?
-----------------------------
Gifts. What can I say about gifts. I love getting them, giving them and especiallly getting them for Baby!! But as I was going through these little gems, I realized we got the weirdest gift! When I opened it, I thought it was normal. It was a book "Duck for President" and then I looked further. Inside this bag was a "Weepublican" bib, a "Babies for Obama" bib and a "Hillary for President" bib. Now, I get that you want to be safe (politically speaking) but really? A bib for your favorite president? Hmmm...

What is the weirdest gift you've ever gotten?
--------------------------
And here is the last thing. Toilet Paper. Last week, with no voice, I headed to the grocery store, only to realize (while walking) my Braxton Hicks started again. I moved quickly through the isles to retreive what was needed, and finally ended on the paper isle. I search for select-a-size paper towels (a truly brillaint invention) and then for toilet paper. Now, CLEARLY on the select-a-size paper towels they have it labeled, but for some reason, the toilet paper didn't tell me 2ply or 1? I search on, and realize, I need to sit ASAP (Braxton Hicks are painful little things!) I grab a bag and head to the counter. When I get home, always having to pee, being that I am 8 months pregnant, I grab my new toilet paper, and head to the restroom. Only to open the stuff and realize I have somehow grabbed 1ply paper and that it feels like elementary school paper towels. Remember that brown nasty stuff that (I swear) would tear your hands up if you used too much in one day. Now... I had to put this stuff on my ass! I mean seriously, they should warn you about these things in advance!! I actually ran upstairs, pants still at my ankles, to used the nice 2ply in the upstairs restrooom!

Why is it that 1 ply is so much worse than 2 ply?
And if anyone who works in a toilet paper company is reading this.... please inform the higher ups, that us pregnant woman who have no time, would like a quick, easy to read bag! Preferrably one that says 2 ply!!

KTHX! That was my randmoness for Tuesday. I am sure it was TMI!

30 Weeks Pregnant!

*W/ Brady

*Pre Brady*

Holy Schmole! Only 7 weeks and my little man will be fully ready to enter this world. Let's hope he stays in there that long :D He may have other plans!

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as hegets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

I simply cannot believe that he is almost here. My little man :) In one week I have my 2nd shower, so I will be sure to post pics. Also, I am going to post pics of the nursery progress :)
Ciao! Happy Friday!
