A Post in Pictures

B: Mom... let me eat this on my own... I got this!
Me: Ok buddy, but don't make too big of a mess...

B: Look, I can eat it, nicely

B: Look, I'll keep it in the bowl and everything :)

B: I can even use a spoon!

B: Um... I dumped the bowl? I'll just use my hands!

B: Tadddaaa! Look what I did :D

Say Cheese!

Today is a bitter sweet day. In my family, we have always celebrated today with a birthday, but unfortunately my Poppy is no longer with us, so I have to quietly celebrate. You can read more here.

It was a happy day though. B and I got to spend time with my mom and...

Santa!!

This was his first Santa picture. Santa wasn't very photogenic, but B was smiling proudly.

He went right to Santa and tried his hardest to eat his beard. He wasn't scared in the least.

Oh Mr Man, you are really growing up!

Amazing Photo's!

As I said before, one of my birthday gifts was that we bought proffesional photo's of our family. They turned out absolutely amazing and http://www.simpletreasuresphotography.com/ is a fantastic place to get your pictures if you're in the TX area!

Considering I am not photogenic, I think she did an amazing job! However, I think hubs and B are just amazingly photogenic and really stand out in every pic.

Here are some of the photo's!
*These are copied off the website, and it is copyrighted, but we already ordered 20 of them, so if there are any fam that wants some, just let me know!
Let me know which one is YOUR favorite!

Have a happy Memorial Day weekend!

3 Days old...

Since I have slept about 4 hours in 3 days... here is a post in pictures!

As for my health... I am still quite yellow in color and my lips are pretty white, but other than that, I am in no pain and I am walking, nursing and loving staring into the face of my baby.

I am a little nervous with him here (at home) but I am getting used to it. He slept in the bassinet last night and every time he wimpered I rushed to his side. Hopefully in time, this will go away. He is also sleeping a lot during the day and not so much at night, so I need to fix that. But as my best friend says... whatever works!

My little man has his first doc's apt tomorrow and we are very excited! We will let you know how it goes.

Brady Update ;-)

Look at my little man! Awwww! It is truly amazing how in love you can be with black and white photo!

He is a little big - due to the Gestational Diabetes (he weighs almost 4lbs - he is only supposed to be 3lbs) and my doctor advised me to stop eating chocolate ice cream. Waaah!! (That is me crying like a child b/c I want chocolate ice cream!!)

Anyway, they told me has hair *swoon!* I totally teared up when she said that, simply because I came out of the womb with a mop of black curls. My parents said I came out singing and lookin' like Betty Boop!

It also looks like (from the picture) that he has Momma's nose and lips!!

He is still due close to mid April, I just have to watch my sugar, so he doesn't end up being 10lbs.

Other than that, my little man is wonderful!! I just can't wait to kiss his chubby cheeks!

My baby is 15 Weeks today! And some very random things.

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")

Just to let everyone know... I am not having an unltrasound this week, I think it is in 2 weeks or so, so calm your horses! We are very excited with this week. I think I may have gained 4 or 5lbs so I seem to be on target! So exciting!

On a totally seperate note...

My dishwasher broke yesterday - I seriously shed a tear. I may be coming into my domestic ways, but washing dishes, BY HAND, does NOT apply! Plus, it is the REALLY good kind. The kind, if you really want you don't have to really clean the dishes, you just put em in there and say deep clean and POOF! really clean dishes. Not to mention it is one that you can't hear! It is the quite, really awesome, sleek version. I am having to call our homeonwners but if they try and stick me with some goofy, white, crappy loud one I am gonna scream!

Then I had to go to a funeral yesterday. Just think, pregnant, hormonal, and I am headed to a funeral. Needless to say I had no eye makeup when the thing ended, even though it was absolutly beautiful and really made me appreciate her life! So, while getting ready for my funeral, I tried on these AWESOME tights I bought the day before. You know, I thought solid black is boring - appropriate for some things, but since I can only wear solid black why not spice it up. I bought this fab tights/stockings (whatever the hell you call them) that had a flowered pattern and they were really spiffy. So I put them on, with my maternity black dress, and they looked like a witch trying to be fashionable not so good. I was so dissapointe! I am always one to try and make a fashion statment! Not to mention (even thought it was almost 80 degrees here in Texas) it is November and I'll be damned if I was going to go to a funeral, in Winter, with bare legs. UGH! I changed and ended up wearing pants.

Also, I did decide to take the more stressful job, if anyone read that. I say, suck it up! It is more money and in 6 months, when the baby is here, I will not be working. So here I go, bring on the work!!

One of THE most amazing days of my life!!

Yesterday M and I headed to the OB at around 2 in the afternoon. I was a little trepidatious just because they were going to do the Down Syndrome Test. Now, as a soon to be parent, I have noticed I have started worrying more than normal. Some times I worry about gaining too much weight, other times it is not eating right, and other times it is simply am I doing everything I can to make this a healthy baby? Matt and I hadn't even discussed the possibility of Down Syndrome, because we didn't want to prematurely worry. We just wanted to cross that bridge (God Forbid) we got there.

So as I walked into the OB's office I noticed the butterfly's started whirling around my stomach. I was so nervous and excited and worried I couldn't even sit still in the seat. I know this was only our 13 week apt but this was a HUGE milestone in both of our lives.

Finally (not really, we waited like 10 min) we were escorted into the sono room. Some jelly was squirted on my 4lb belly and.... there He/She was. SO BEAUTIFUL!! We could see baby immediately! Baby just popped up there, squirmed some, waved at us and finally hiccupped!

Then, just as I thought that moment could not get any better, Baby stayed in place perfectly enough for the tech to tell us, Baby was absolutely normal. No signs, whatsoever, of Down Syndrome. I have to admit I almost just burst into tears. Not only could I see our 3 inch baby, He/She was pefect!!!!

As we sat there, intently staring at the screen, Baby did all sorts of things. We got pictures of Baby's fee, Baby's arm (waving), and Baby's beautiful profile!!

As I left the sono room, I could just feel the emotion swelling inside. Then we went in to see the doctor. He said everything looks awesome. He was sorry I was still nauseas and still throwing up, but nothing that day was going to take the smile off my face!!

Baby... our baby was a perfect 3 1/2" :)

There is a picture up top of the best shot!! So photogenic our baby is already. And Lord knows that is a good thing with the Mother-in-Law I have!!

Not to mention, some of the best news yet... at 20 weeks, which for us falls one week before Christmas, we find out the sex. Now our Baby will either be Brady Matthew or Isabella Josephine!

Say Cheese!

So today we took our band photos, oh my goodness can I tell you I have never had more fun and been more excited at the same time all while having to try make myself look sexy... NOT! Anyway, it would not have been even possible without Steph. She has been by my side for so long and I would not have wanted any other person there to fluff my hair, change my shirt, tell me to cock my hip a little to right or tell me glare like I mean it. I love her to death and I can't wait until My Mistress is the biggest band in the USA and I can have her right by my side. I know she is the only one who will keep me grounded. It is you and me girl in Europe! She is like the sister I never had and the pictures would have been nothing without her. I love you girl! My Mistress loves you too!
