All About Him

1.Where did you meet? At a Humperdinks, by a pool table.

2.What was the first thought that went through your head when you met? Um... you're a dork. I don't really like you ;-)

3. Do you remember what he was wearing? I have no earthly idea.

4.Where was the first time you kissed this person? Outside my gold Saturn, right before I left for FL.

5.How did he ask you out? Um... I don't think he did? I think I asked him to meet me out for Sushi? I'm kinda forward like that.

6.Where did you go for your first date? The real date (where he asked me out) he took me to this Italian restaurant, which later, we had our rehersal dinner in.

7.How long did you know this person before you became a couple? 3 or so months.

8.Has this person ever proposed to you? Yes sir!

9.Do you and this person have kids together? Yep, and he is the love of my life!

10.When was the first time you realized that you liked this person? After I saw this bizarre movie with him and he took me for Irish food, just so I could have a Guiness.

11.Do you get along with any of the ex's of your partner? I don't really know any of them. Well, actually I know one, and yes we get along. She happens to be a pretty damn good friend :)

12.Do you trust this person? Yep.

13.Do you see you and your partner in your future? Absolutely!

14.What is one thing he does that gets on your nerves? Eats his own lip. Grrrrrosss!

15.What is the thing you do that gets on his nerves? I don't think this post is long enough... HA HA, um, maybe ask him to hang a bunch of crap as soon as he walks in the door from a business trip.

16.Where do you see each other in 15 years from now? Lets see, B will be 16 (almost) and probably wanting a car, so I guess, dealing with a teenage (if not more kids) and getting him ready to drive... EEK! I am assuming Hubs will be bald and I will be fat and tired, so pretty much just enjoying life :D

17.Are you in love? Really?!? Do you have to ask? Of course I am!

*I couldn't think of anything for today's post, so I thought I would blog about him. Hubs - the love of my life ;D If you have a loved one, feel free to join in!!

An FTD warning...

So, as I stated on my previous post, hubs bought me this amazing bouquet of melon colored tulips. SO beautiful. However, according to hubs, the day they got there, they showed up in a box (like from UPS) with NO water and another box for the vase. Strange - he thought.

So, he assembled the beautiful flowers and set them for me to see. The problem was they were crooked. I mean some were pointing towards the sky, but most were pointing towards the walls. Now, this arrangement was a $65 bouquet, not a cheapo one from a grocery store or something.

So anyway, by day 2 they had straightened out a tad bit, but by the morning of day 3 they looked like this.

Photobucket

Yeah... awesome! So, if you are in the market for flower buying, beware of FTD. I don't know if it was a fluke or something, but proceed with caution!

Any crazy stories you have of buying something online?

A re-cap of sorts

Well, this week has been fun, sad, and just a lot. Like I said before, it was emotionally exhausting dropping my baby off with someone, but after this week, my heart feels a little better. It seems B and I have gotten into a routine and the mornings we get to spend together really help.

Yesterday; however, was awesome! I came home to gorgeous flowers, ribs in the oven, Giants on the TV and my smiling baby! A PERFECT evening to a crazy week!

Tonight, hubs and I plan to spend some quality time together! We are going out for a romantic evening and maybe a movie.

Just wanted t0 say thanks for all the well wishes, and thanks to hubs for a brilliant dinner!

6 Years...

Since the day I met him, I guess I always knew. He was blonde, had piercing blue eyes and had the wittiest sense of humor. From day one he caught my eye. There was always something about him, I just couldn’t put my finger on it.

He was dating a friend of mine and I thought he was so mean to her, so dorky. What did she see in him? Little did I know, after they broke up, I would find myself, falling more and more in love with this man.

Our first date was Sushi, the movie “Amelie” and chocolate gelato. It couldn’t get any better than that. During the movie I grabbed his hand, and we held hands for just a moment, until I pulled away, not even realizing what had happened.

During the next month we enjoyed wine, great Italian food, and great conversation. This was someone I could talk to. I mean really talk to. He had the same interests, we wanted to travel, and I really just couldn’t get enough of him.

Our first kiss was outside my best friend’s house, near my first new car, a gold Saturn. He leaned in and knew what was coming. I shut my eyes and there it was. Brilliant!

I knew at that moment, I was doomed. I had fallen too hard, too fast. But then... it was reciprocated. He fell in love too! We were two peas in a pod, Inseparable!

We haven’t left each other’s side since.

Today is the day, 6 years ago, hubs proposed.

It was a quite Tuesday night. I got off of work and I was tired. I knew we had dinner reservations but I just wasn’t feeling it. We decided to go a little early and he called the restaurant to make sure they could take us. That should have tipped me off, but I was oblivious.
We got to the restaurant and were escorted to the back, to a booth tucked in the corner. We ate, drank and were merry! The food was delish, the wine superb and the company… awesome!
After a glass of Champagne, wine and a huge meal, the desert menu was presented. I was so stuffed but I knew I wanted chocolate. The waiter explained there was a special desert. I couldn’t pass it up… it sounded perfect!
As I waited for the desert, I remember sitting there thanking God for such a wonderful evening, great company and great food! It was truly a perfect way to end a grueling day at work.
As the desert was presented I realized this was no chocolate bar….

A beautiful sapphire and diamond ring on a bed of red roses was placed in front of me. He slid me to the end of the booth and got down on one knee. I didn’t even wait for him to speak. I kissed him and I said yes. I knew this was the beginning of the rest of my life.

As dinner came to an end, I headed for the car, but he had different plans. He took my hand and we proceeded to the penthouse suite. As I walked in the door there were rose petals on the floor. As I stared at my hand, I quietly wept. This was the happiest day of my life.

6 years later, I would have to say, I am still just as happy I said yes. Just as happy I didn’t leave town, and just as happy that we are a family.

Love you Hubs!!! Happy 6 year anniversary. Mwwaaa!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

This is last year's birthday - but its all I got!

So, wonderful freaders, today is hubs birthday! As previously stated (by him - I may add) he is the wonderful age of 33. OH! to be old :D Just kidding!

It is really hard to write a post to the man you love, telling him just how much he means, and how special it is just to share in these days with him. Have you ever tried... seriously, its hard.

What's funny, is that I never really thought of birthdays as special. I mean, mine always came and went (PS it is the 23rd of May if anyone wants to know - wink wink) and it wasn't that big of a deal. Mostly people would call and wish me happy birthday. Sometimes we would go out for a birthday dinner, but overall, my parents aren't big birthday people.

Then... on my 21st birthday, I met hubs. Well, not really met him, but realized this feeling of butterflies in my stomach was something special. I remember, we had dinner (a big group of us) and we were headed to the bar, when hubs pulled me aside and asked me to ride with him and his sister. Of course I obliged, and while sitting in the passenger seat (with his sister smirking in the backseat) he pulled out a pink card. (Swoon!) I opened it and I saw it was a spa day. I mean, we weren't even DATING and the guy got me a spa day. I knew right then he was a keeper! Not to mention his (drunk) sister kept telling me how much he liked me! Priceless!

The rest folks... is history!

Now, having a new baby and being married have certainly altered the circle a little, but overall, it is still wonderful. I still remember the pink card that started it all. I still remember the 30th birthday party I threw him, and now at 33, I look at the man I love and (still) swoon.

Not to mention, Mr Man looks a lot like his daddy, so every day when I stare into the face of the little man WE created. I thank God that on this 33rd birthday I am still with the man I love.

Labor Update...

OK. This is Hubs with a labor update...

Andrea is 90% thinned. And she has hit 5cm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're getting much closer and should be able to meet our son by 7:00 tonight at the latest!

Thanks from Andrea for all of your sweet words today. She has had her phone near her all day and you have all brought smiles to her face as she reads and posts your comments while laying in bed waiting.

We will update again (maybe right before the major pushing) in a little while.

79 Degrees and Waiting!

My partner in crime, or should I say... lounging!

Best view in the whole world.

This is our backyard!

Well, this is where you could find me all day yesterday! Lounging in the backyard while Hubs did some lawn work. Mochachino and I got some sun, read a book and realxed to Jazz on the outdoor speakers.

As for the baby... nothing really new. I had about 2 -3 contractions per hour, but nothing I could count. I have a doc's apt at 2 today, so when I know more, we will keep you updated!

A case of the Mondays!

I guess I have a case of the Monday's. Hubs is not working from his home office (booo!) and because of that my Mom has kidnapped me to spend the week at the rents home :) I feel a little torn abouts this... love the rents, love the baby bro... but I just want to be with my stuff. UGH! You know?

There is so much to do around this house (dishes and laundry and such) and I can't even do all of it. I can't stand on my feet that long ;-)
Just kind of groggy and want to spend all day in my PJ's. ;-P

Funny Things

So, apparently my parents and baby bro are "hamster sitting" for spring break, and apparently, this hamster is much fatter than the others, so my mom has nicknamed her...
Hamela Anderson! Heee hee! I thought that was so funny!
---------------
So last night, hubs and I were watching American Idol and Kelly Pickler was on (I am not a big fan) and I asked hubs how on earth that girl got a recording contract? I mean she sucked. Then hubs turns to me and says... honey... that girl could be a deaf mute and she would still rock... because she is freaking hot! OH GOD. Men ;-)
Hope you all have a great Thursday, and these comments bring smiles to your face!

What a Christmas!!

I cannot begin to tell you what an amazing Christmas the hubs and I shared! I have never felt so much love and so much warmth than I did this year. It was extra special to me, because I know, that these 9 mnths I share with my little guy are the only time he is all mine :) The rest of his life... I am letting go.

A breif sonopsis of the days...

Christmas Eve - we woke up around 8am, and I decided it would be awesome if we could exchange gifts, just the two of us, so that we could appreciate what the other got (without all the family comotion.) I am very sneaky when it comes to Christmas and I have had the gift wrapped, under the tree for close to 3 weeks. His, apparently, was in his crazy messy office, that I never venture into unless I am giving him work day kisses! I gave him the Steven Colbert book- I am America. I don't really get that guys humor but I know hubs has been wanting to read it, so I thought, what the hey. He travels so much it will be great for the airplane. Then I open this huge box, that felt very heavy, only to find out he got me an hour and a half preggo massage. He weighted it down with a 2lb weight and put it in a huge box so I would't guess what it was ;-) God I love this man!!

Then we headed over to my parentals house, to eat, eat and eat some more!! We had luinguini with clam sauce, pasta with walnuts and shrimp scampi. Then we had "fish salad" which is this amazing salad that has scuingili, calamari, celery, garlic and lemon juice. Mmmm! So tasty! Plus, we only get these dishes once a year, so it really is a treat to enjoy the food that goes along with Christmas eve! Then, after eating, we had a random power outage. We sat there for about 1 1/2 hours with no light, no tv, no music, and just talked by the candlelight. It was really a lovely peaceful evening.

After 7pm we headed to the hubs grandmother's house, to do the traditional Christmas even present opening. We got so much stuff, I don't know where to begin. We got money, clothes, manicures and pedicures... oh my... just too much stuff (as usual.) Brady even got a couple of gifts. Then, when all the comotion had died down, we drove back to my parents house, to sleep tight until Santa's presents came that morning.

Christmas Day - We awoke to coffee brewing, dogs snuggled on the couches with blankets and Christmas music playing in the background. Christmas morning is one of my favorite mornings. There are always too many people talking at once, too many presents being opened and too many deserts and coffee being passed around.

Here are some pics of that morning, that really just sum up the wonderfulness!

The rest of the day was spent playing a Wii (my baby bro got) and traveling to my hubs parents house, to eat, play more Wii, and eat some more.

Last night we got home at around 8pm, brought all the gifts in and crashed in the bed. We were so tired, we tried to watch Deal or No Deal - Christmas edition, but fell asleep half way through :)

Hope you all had a fantabulous Christmas. Lord knows we did!

A Disastrous Attempt

Thursday morning I woke up with this horrible pain in my neck. I thought I had slept on it wrong, so I tried to go about my business. Being pregnant (and officially in my 5th month - woo woo!) I am trying to sleep on this body pillow. All my friends that have babies had suggested it, but for some reason, it ain't workin for me!
So I wake up, I can't look left, or right for that matter. I go upstairs only to find the computer Ghettoness I described in the last blog, and try desperatly to proceed with my day. Since the computer is jacked, my neck is jacked, and the maid was due to arrive in an hour. I walk downstairs to start "straightening up."

You see, Hubs was out of town all week, and I was trying desperatly to get better, so that when he came home I could spice up the love life (wink wink.)
I thought when he got home, I would be cooking meatballs in a beautiful nightie with the belly showing proudly.

Yeah... not so much!

Right before the maid comes, I jump in the shower. After being out of the shower for a good 40 min, I start to lather myself up with all types of lotion (no stretch marks are coming this way!) When I notice my legs have become red, bumpy and itchy. I don't know what to do? So I call my mom. She says to call the OB and call her back. The OB says the neck and the rash aren't related. Take a benedryl and call us back if it doesn't go away. I do, and everything is fine. Except now I STILL can't move my neck, I have cotton mouth, AND I am groggy from the benedryl.

The maid leaves and I try to take a nap, still trying desperatly to proceed with my plan.

At 7pm, the one hour countdonw for hubs to get home begins. I try and stand up and realize, the leg cramps are back. My left leg hurts so bad, I almost fell to the ground, I can't move my neck and now my left arm is asleep. I say screw it, so I head to the bedroom, find a beautiful nightie (praying to GOD to let this happen) and put the darn thing on.

I proceed to the kitchen, where I get out my meatball cooking utensils, when my left leg decides, it really doesn't want to stand. I try and lay down and stretch it out, rubbing only with the good right hand. I lay there, in serious pain, counting down the minutes when hubs will arrive. At this point, I realize cooking meatballs in nightie in your 5th month of pregnancy SOUNDED like a brilliant idea at 7am this morning, but the reality is, it is NOT going to happen.

About 15 min later the garage door lifts, I hear a car beep, and the hubs walks into the house. He looks at me (on the floor, with one leg stretched toward the TV, a semi rash on my feet, and a non working neck) and just smiles! I told him, take a good look cuz I am about to go put on my pregnancy PJ's, take a shower and head for bed. He just laughs and says, "ok babe, is there anything I can get ya? You look like your in pain?"

Can you get over this guy? Is he the greatest or what? I try to spice up our lives (before baby comes) and this is what I get. The left side of my body not working, me lying on a heap on the living room floor, with a beautiful nightie that he can't do a damn thing with :)

Fabulous Friday!

Man, I love Fridays! My hubsband is OFFICIALLY a genius. He got the dishwasher to work AND we have nice clean dishes for breakfast and lunch *heart beating rapidly*

Last night he made me organic cheese Ravioli... mmm! after my "ordeal" at the hair dressers. Not to mention this morning my soy coffee has been brought upstairs to my office, piping hot with a smile on his face. Is this guy the best or what??

OH! and a long, long, time ago, for a Christmas present or something or other, my hubs bought me this amazing Furla (If your not sure what a Furla is...they make these amazing Italian purses, and I think the designer is associated wtih Mui Mui.) Anyhoo, I walked in my closet yeterday to scope out the purse rack, (I have quite a collection over the years) and low and behold, there is was, the beautiful tan and red Furla, smiling at me to pick it up and wear it!

I grabbed it, threw on a tight cream cable knit turtle neck (showing off the 4 month bump proudly,) jeans, brown boots, a preggo jean jacket from Gap (like this but long sleeves and dark denim) and headed to my hair apt. The day couldn't have been nicer! Not to mention this morning with the best husband in the world!!

Folks... we could have lift off!

So... as we now have 3 parts for the dishwasher and the laziest warrenty company in the world to fix it, my hubs has decided to be "handy man Dave" and fix the thing. Hopefully it works, cuz Lord knows I ain't scrubbin one more damn dish! I will write back tomorrow to let you know if the dishes have been succesfully washed :)

On a complete other note, I got step 1 done for the hair extensions. I got my hair colored. A little backstory: I went in 6 wks ago to get it an auburn brownish color, but somehow it turned out dark, dark brown?? Then I go in today, pick the color (out of a swatch) that matches the hair extension and my hair dresser heads in the back room to mix it. She comes out, apply's, and we wait. When she takes the color off, it is a brownish goldish weird color. NOTHING like what the swatch of hair extension looks like, or even the color that she applied for that matter. We sit and think and then she apply's a different brand of color. Just as I am sitting with option #2 on my head, this woman sitting in the next seat says "When I was pregnant my hair wouldn't take the vibrancy of the color. It would only take the undertone." So we check the hair and Fata (nothing!) Madone! I am thinking what the hell... not only is pregnancy making me one ugly Italian but now I am gonna have ugly hair?? OH hell no! So then she thinks, lets bleach the top and the red will take better (b/c it is bleached) and we'll go from there. We don't really have to worry about the bottom half as much because in a couple of days it will be fixed with extensions.
Finally, the blonde takes and she dies it red... really freaking red! I wait and she washes it, for like the 10th time. By this time my head is raw, and my hair is REALLY red. I just have to sit back and laugh because I know it wasn't her fault, but my hormones were really F*ing with her!
So as of now, I have a top half of my head the is REALLY red and a bottom half that is half browish redish goldish.
Not to mention the timeline of this hairtastrophy
1:00 - arrive for apt
1:45 - wash out color
2:30 - apply golidsh browish color
3:45 - bleach top half
4:30 - test pieces of blonde with three different reds/browns/golds
5:15 - add REALLY red
5:45 - wash and dry
6:00 - flat iron and walk out of their
6:25 - walk in the door
;-)
I get the extensions on Monday and I will be sure to post with pics! Hopefully it goes better than today. Say a prayer to the hair Gods!
*Disclamer for all you weird preggo people that think you can't die your hair. We are using organic hair dye. My stylist is pregnant and I am pregnant, so I know she wouldn't use anything on my hair to "possibly" screw with the bambina.

Fighting... Bad!

Got in a fight with the hubs tonight. UGH! I hate fighting. I wish shit could just get burried and be burried forever, but unfortunately not with us. Somehow the shit always comes up like when strippers wrestle in mud. It gets over everyone and it isn't pretty, no matter which direction you look at it.

The other thing I hate when you get so mad, you get tired, which in turn makes you want to cry and sleep. Don't know if that is possible but I am at the sleeping crying phase right now. I don't want to talk to him because... well... just because. Fighting sucks and freaking solves nothing. I want to go to sleep but he is in the bedroom watching some obnoxious show with tons of people killing and dying.

UGH!

Happy Anniversary to US...

3 years... woo hoo!

Well folks, we have officially made it to 3 years.

I can't believe where we have come in the past 3 years. It seems like it was yesterday, and then I look around, and realize, we have come a LONG way!

It has been amazing, and I have a feeling, in the next few years, maybe even this year ;-) there could be some grand new surprises!

Ahhh... to be loved. It feels so great!

Lions, Tigers and RATS... oh my!!!

So yesterday, I am lounging upstairs, and I start hearing this loud clicking noise, somewhere downstairs. I thought Sammy (my crazy cat) had grabbed some plastic and was playing with it (a favorite past time of his!) I look over the railing to see the biggest rat, I have EVER seen, eating out of the dog bowl. I screamed, grabbed mocha, and ran in the office. I called Matt and told him to get his pretty ass home, NOW!! He said he was leaving. As I sit in my office, I realize, something is "meow-ing" outside my door. I open the door, just a crack, and see my cat, Basil, standing outside looking at me like... what the heck is going on? I pull him inside the door and stuff a pillow under the crack of the door. As I wait to hear the garage door open, I attempted to do a crossword online.

My foot was shaking and I don't even think I got one answer on the crossword. I was so nervous that stupid rat was going to start perusing my house, I couldn't contain myself. Finally, I hear Matt and then I hear this loud bang. I crack open the door and scream downstairs... it it dead?!? Matt yells back... not yet. Then, I hear another bang.
I open the door and scream... now??? He replies, "yep!"

As I creep downstairs, still afraid the thing is going to leap and bite me, like I was in a NY City Sewer, I realize there is blood on the kitchen floor. I look at Matt and I'm like, what the hey?? He tells me, he went in the garage, got his pellet gun, from when he was a child, and shot the thing. Now, as I almost hurl in my mouth, I realize that is rat guts, on my beautiful kitchen floor. I seriously could have cried!
I don't think I can ever forgive him for mutilating the disgusting rat all over my floor. Geez, couldn't he have gotten a freaking napkin or grabbed it by its tail or something... UGH!!!
If you girls have any idea how I can explain to my husband, in "man terms", that was the nastiest thing he could have done... I am more than open to suggestion!
